Issue 1

Welcome to the first edition of my brand new blog, Quarterdeck times! I hope to publish a snapshot of what it's like to be me, talk about things that are happening to me and I shall be commenting on what's happening in the world. I will no doubt make mistakes along the way as I get to gripps with blogging, trying to work out what it's for and how best to use it - this is a voyage of discovery for me! I gradually intend to build up a website with links to my my favourite online things (well, some of them anyway!), post a few photo's, maybe some video, and generally have a play around. So c'mon guys, give me a break! :-)
